The famous mountain formation of the Pulpit Rock (Preikestolen in Norwegian) is visited by tourists from all over the world.
It is a plateau of about 30 x 30 meter jutting out of the steep cliffside, 600 meters above the famouse fjord Lysefjorden.
The feeling one gets from looking at the boats below can't be described with words, it has to be experienced!
The starting point for the walk to Preikestolen lies on hours drive from the farm. The walk itself takes about 2 hours one
way, so all in all it is a suitable day trip while you're staying at the farm.
Another exciting excursion is the walk to Skomakarnibbå, our local version of the Pulpit Rock. Enjoy the view of the entire
Ryfylke region while walking on top of the 700 metre tall cliffs. This trip does not suit small childreN!
Feel free to ask your landlady or landlord about where to go. They both have years of experience in the mountains, and know
what might suit your preferences. They can also provide maps.
